AV Update fails with Error code (12057): unknown error

Error 12057 “Indicates that revocation cannot be checked because the revocation server was offline (equivalent to CRYPT_E_REVOCATION_OFFLINE).” From https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/winhttp/error-messages.

Is your firewall blocking the certificate revocation check?

Hello,

I have just installed mdaemon v20 on a Windows Server 2019 box that sits behind a firewall. The firewall blocks all outbound access unless they match specific "allow" rules. I have added a rule to allow access to *.mdaemon.com over https, but the AV update still fails (log is below). When I open a web browser on the same machine I can go to https://files.mdaemon.com and see a list of files, and I can go into the various folders until https://files.mdaemon.com/antivirus/ctav/updates/ which then prompts for a username and password.
