Hi,

Hoping someone can provide an example. Have pretty much got the whole powershell script setup to update the autoresponder but I can't seem to make the Response field (Autoresponder text) multi-line. ie. with Carriage Returns & Line Feeds.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers.

Andrew,

Did you see my previous response on this? You must use CR/LF (carriage return and linefeed) pairs instead of simply LF (LineFeed).

The XmlApi uses the data exactly as you send it with no stripping or conversion.

In my Jscript testing, if I use the following, the MDaemon UI shows multiple paragraphs…

              var szResponse = RandomParagraph(szMailbox);

              szResponse += "\r\n\r\n";

              szResponse += RandomParagraph( "OOF" );

              szResponse += "\r\n\r\n";

              szResponse += RandomParagraph( "Irish Coffee" );

So, make sure that you are using CRLF pairs for paragraph breaks instead of just an LF.

This could be a matter of using simply newlines vs newlines with carriage returns…

What version of MDaemon are you using?

Can you post the powershell script you are using?

Where are you checking the Autoresponder text?

I've been able to include line breaks in plain text and have them reflected in the autoresponse email that is generated.  If I view the autoresponder text via Remote Administration, it appears correct.  It does not appear correctly if I use the MDaemon UI, but the email that is generated is correct.
