Good morning,

in the future, we like to use more the API of MDaemon for user creation and administration and one crucial point for us is to set the maildirectory of the user.

Neither on creation nor on update can we set it.
One thought, as already explained in this forum, is to use the account template. But as far as I can see, this works only for the default template. So creating multiple templates with different folders is not possible. In addition it would not let us update an account.

Is there any way to get this done?
Or are there plans to make this available soon?

Best regards,
RS

Dear Keith,

I've looked at the release notes since, but could not find a fix/feature for the discussed problem.

Is it planned for a minor version of 22 or due you have to postponed it for a later major version?

Best regards,
RS

If you issue an Update Domain request and specify a new MailboxRoot value

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

<MDaemon>

       <API>

              <Request>

                     <Operation>UpdateDomain</Operation>

                     <Parameters>

                           <Domain>sample.int</Domain>

                           <Users>

                                  <MailboxRoot>\\Server\MDaemon\MBX_ALT\$DOMAIN$</MailboxRoot>

                           </Users>

                     </Parameters>

              </Request>

       </API>

</MDaemon>

From then on, any accounts created will go to that new location.

Existing accounts will remain where they are.
