Hi,

Running Windows XP machine, has been running MDaemon for over 10 years without a hitch and all previous updates have always worked.
Did the same old update procedure and the install went fine.
However, when MDaemon starts it hangs and no longer starts.
Coming from Version 19.0.3 to 19.5.1

Had to do a Windows XP System Restore, all is working but some functions are not.. I need and wish to update..

Any suggestions ?

Cheers.

Craig.

My first recommendation is to upgrade to a newer operating system.  Windows XP does not support the latest SSL/TLS settings and there are features in MDaemon that simply will not work on Windows XP.

What does MDaemon’s system log show when MDaemon 19.5.1 was trying to start?

After the system restore, what version of MDaemon are you running?  If it is 19.5.1, what functions are not working?

If you are running 19.0.3 and having problems, can you try upgrading to 19.5.1 again?   After upgrading again, is MDaemon failing to start?  If it is, please leave MDaemon in the state when it is trying to start and capture a memory dump of the mdaemon.exe process.  In newer operating systems, you can go to task manager right click on the process and select create dump, but I don’t believe you can do that in Windows XP so you’ll have to follow this procedure:

The hang dumps should give us more information about why its not starting.
