Hi there,

What permissions are required on a shared network folder to receive the removed attachments from emails?

I have told the content filter to move removed attachments to,

//server/removedattachments/$RECIPIENT$/$SENDER$/

This folder is accessible from the email server but Mdaemon does not manage to save any attachments there..it says it has stripped them, sends the appropriate message but does not actually save the removed attachment. It disappears.

thanks

PS if i chooose a local folder it all works as expected

In MDaemon, there's a setting to configure to provide MDaemon with credentials to access that network share. In the MDaemon GUI, click on Setup | Preferences | Windows Service. On that screen are Login name, Password, and Domain fields for the account you want to use in accessing that non-local resource.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!
